Terms of Service

Last updated: October 2026 · Operated by IP History Inc

By using this site you accept the terms below. They are short, and nothing in them is hidden.

How you may use it

The site is free to use for learning and teaching — self-study, exam prep, classroom demos and corporate training all count, and you do not need to ask for permission. If you reuse the explanations, please credit the source. No account is required and nothing is charged.

What the simulations are

Every lab here is a teaching model, not an exact reproduction of any vendor implementation. Protocol behaviour, packet structure and table changes are meant to be correct, but timers, platform limits and implementation-specific details are simplified. Do not use a simulation result as the basis for a production design or as a diagnosis of a real fault — decisions about a real network belong on real equipment.

Provided as-is

The service is provided as-is, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy of the content, availability of the service, or fitness for a particular purpose. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of it. The service may change or be interrupted at any time without notice.

Please do not

Do not hammer the API with automated requests, do not try to overload the service, and do not use our endpoints as the backend of your own product. If you need the content in bulk, writing to us is faster than scraping: isppub.com@gmail.com.

Advertising and third-party links

This site stays free by carrying Google AdSense advertising. Ad content is selected and served by Google rather than reviewed by us one by one, so an ad appearing here is not an endorsement or warranty of the product or service in it. Once you follow an ad or any outbound link you are on someone else’s site, under their terms and their privacy policy. How data flows through advertising, cookies included, is described in our privacy policy.

Copyright

The explanatory text, quizzes, interface and code are © IP History Inc. The protocols themselves and their RFCs are not. Please credit the source when you quote an explanation; for bulk reuse or commercial training, write to us first: isppub.com@gmail.com.

Changes to these terms

When the terms change we update the “last updated” date above. Continuing to use the site means you accept the revised terms.
